The whipped cream is discharged through the decorator tip. To apply the whipped cream in an appetizing manner, the appropriate decorator tip should be used. The width of the tip determines how thickly will the whipped cream be applied, and the shape of the tip gives the pattern that will be visible on the applied cream.
The decorator tip is attached to the end of the dispensing piston.

The decorator tip is the most commonly missing part of used cream whippers. Even if it is not missing, the material is often broken or worn, and has expanded to the point where it easily falls off the head.
